The town of Carpentras is located in Vaucluse, in the south of France in the Côte d’Azur region
It is 25 km from Avignon, and is famous for some of its listed monuments.
The town has a town hall, a tourist office and a municipal media library, which it intends to digitalize. The town is also equipped with a video surveillance system, and the police force is equipped with digital radios.
A NEED FOR MULTI-PRODUCT DIGITAL SIGNAGE
Needs
SIMPLIFIED COMMUNICATION
Mr. Éric Olive, CIO of the town of Carpentras, wanted to improve external communications by installing digital signage. The town wanted to keep its citizens informed in a simpler, more efficient way. It also wanted to digitize its schools and media library, in order to modernize, help younger children at school, and diversify and increase citizens’ access to culture. Finally, it wanted to facilitate communication between law enforcement agencies with their digital radios. Carpentras also wanted to make data processing at the Centre de Supervision Urbain easier and more secure. Carpentras wanted to manage this program and its various systems from a single software program, a single platform.
Solutions provided
A MULTI-PRODUCT PLANT
Mr. Olive and the town of Carpentras therefore chose to adopt various solutions proposed by Iagona. Firstly, the installation of digital signage screens in the town hall and tourist office.
Iagona also enabled the installation of outdoor totems to help the town with its external communications. Screens were also installed inside the town hall and tourist office. Thanks to the “Maville facile” portal, citizens can manage administrative procedures more quickly and simply.
In the case of the municipal police, dynamic displays and software have been supplied, transforming the way in which the urban supervision center processes information. The Carpentras media library has also been equipped with digital equipment to enhance its appeal.
